Vojvodina Gastronomic Adventure Recommended for Gourmets!

This program is ideal for adults between the ages of 25-65 who love good food, fine wines, and cultural experiences. If you enjoy discovering new flavors, are curious about local traditions, and appreciate the tranquility of nature, this program is perfect for you. Whether you are a foodie, a wine lover, or simply looking for some relaxation and rejuvenation, you’ll find everything here.

Program Description:

Day 1:

  • Arrival in Subotica: Upon arrival, we will greet you with a local alcoholic/non-alcoholic drink, and then you can check into your accommodation.
  • Informational session: A brief informational talk and presentation of the travel itinerary regarding the planned activities.
  • City tour in Subotica: We will explore the city’s most famous points and buildings, including the Secessionist City Hall’s ceremonial hall and the world’s third-largest restored Hungarian Secessionist synagogue. During the walk, we will stop at a local café or restaurant, where we will treat you to a refreshing coffee or lunch.
  • Palic Lake and wine tasting: In the afternoon, we will visit Palic Lake, where, after a short Secessionist walk, we will enjoy a wine tasting in a local wine cellar.
  • Dinner at the farm: At the end of the day, we will serve a dinner made from locally produced ingredients exclusively, on a local farm, with live tambura music upon request.
  • Free evening program and return to the hotel.

Day 2:

  • Breakfast: Either at the hotel or a local bakery, where we will offer burek and yogurt, as the locals do.
  • Departure to Zenta: Through Csantavér. We will visit the famous church in Csantavér and a local farm where they engage in agriculture and animal husbandry. Here, we will receive a brief tour and taste homemade refreshments and snacks.
  • Lunch in Zenta: A rich meal of goulash, grilled meats, or famous local fish soup will be prepared in a local restaurant, followed by a homemade brandy tasting.
  • City tour in Zenta: Panoramic viewpoint, exhibition on the Battle of Zenta, a visit to a handmade chocolate workshop and ice cream shop, with an optional interactive workshop available.
  • Afternoon in Magyarkanizsa: We will visit a winery in the Srem region, where we will taste wines and enjoy a menu made from local specialties.
  • After dinner, return to Subotica and free program.

Day 3:

  • After breakfast, off to Zombor: And the sights of Western Bácska.
  • City tour in Zombor: Viewing of Ferenc Eisenhut's oil painting "The Battle of Zenta," a walk in the greenest city of Vojvodina, and an optional boat ride on the Franz Joseph Canal.
  • Lunch in Monostorszeg: Famous Bezdán fish soup, with brandy tasting.
  • Visit to a local family beekeeping farm: Presentation and opportunity to purchase honey products.
  • Walk through the "Amazon of Europe" nature reserve: By foot or by bicycle.
  • Dinner in a restaurant near Zombor: Enjoying Balkan cuisine and local wines, accompanied by tambura music.

Day 4:

  • After breakfast, short free program: Souvenir shopping in the city center.
  • Lunch and wine tasting at a small family winery: A traditional Vojvodina family lunch will be served.
  • After lunch, farewell to the group.
